CO-FOUNDER + CHIEF CREATIVE OFFICER

Gara is a born and raised New Yorker who moved to Los Angeles in 2001. After several years working in the entertainment industry, Gara used her marketing and design acumen to help reimagine the massage space as Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer for The NOW Massage, a new concept massage boutique offering high quality, affordable massage services in an inspired setting. Gara oversaw the rapid expansion of The NOW from one to four locations in Los Angeles, developed the online and in-store retail businesses and created NOW branded self-care product lines Nourish, Scent and Room by The NOW.

In 2019, Gara along with her business partner and husband Jason Post, launched the national franchise expansion of The NOW Massage through their company The Post Investment Group. It is not an overstatement to say that Gara is the DNA of the brand, keeping the vision and voice true across all boutiques, media platforms, product development, and the creative visionary for the growing massage franchise.

Jeff Platt is president of The NOW Massage, a fast-growing franchise concept transforming the wellness landscape. Jeff has over 15 years of experience building a successful business framework and turning it into a renowned brand. He is poised to lead the next phase of The NOW’s expansion across the US and disrupt the spa industry.

As founder and former CEO of Sky Zone, Jeff took an idea from scratch and created a franchise empire, growing the company into the largest indoor trampoline park brand in the world, with over 225+ locations in 12 countries, visited by over 20M people a year and annual sales of $400M. The franchise has been awarded numerous accolades, including being ranked the second Fastest Growing Franchise by Inc., the second Smartest Growing Brand by Franchise Times, #53 on Entrepreneur’s 2017 Franchise 500 list, #273 on the 2015 Inc.’s 500/5000 list.

Post Real Estate Group

Post Investment Group is a 16-year-old investment firm headquartered in Beverly Hills, California, focused on four sectors; real estate, health and wellness, consumer products and pet services. As a vertically integrated operating platform, Post Investment Group provides in-house services including legal, IT, accounting, finance, construction, real estate, marketing and human resources. Post Investment Group’s active ventures employ over 1,000 people and generate revenues in excess of $500MM, with asset values in excess of $5BB.

The Support Team

The NOW Support Team is currently 35 people with shared services not included in that number. The support covers everything from Real Estate and Construction to Operations and Training to Social Media and Marketing support. Our team has 100+years of experience in Franchising as well as Massage and Wellness.

 

Christina Dale

FRANCHISE DEVELOPMENT AND REAL ESTATE

Christina Dale is the Vice President of Real Estate at The NOW. She has worked in franchising for over 20 years across various functions including real estate, international strategy, construction, design, operations, development and more. Christina has worked with standout franchise brands like The UPS Store and Xponential Fitness. She leads all aspects of real estate at The NOW, including market prioritization, location analysis, lease negotiations and more. Throughout her career, Christina has served on women’s leadership development committees and actively participates in local non-profits.

Charmaine Elequin

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Charmaine Elequin is the Chief Financial Officer of The NOW. She has worked in franchising for over 10 years with notable brands like Baja Fresh and Home Franchise Concepts, as well as retail companies like Brighton Collectibles and Warehouse Shoe Store. Charmaine leads all financial functions of The NOW including tracking cash flow, analyzing financial results and improving profitability for the franchise network.

Meg Gannon

Meg Gannon, Vice President of Construction, brings 7 years of experience in the retail and restaurant industries to her role with The NOW. Having worked with brands like Qdoba, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Fat Burger and more, Meg oversees the design, construction and FF&E of all NOW boutiques from coast to coast. She has been recognized for her achievements in delivering on-time and high-quality projects that exceed franchise owner’s expectations.

Glenn Lord

Glenn Lord is a seasoned operations and finance executive with 40+ years of experience across the retail, restaurant, entertainment and wellness industries. He has held positions at major brands like Macy’s, Eddie Bauer, Jamba Juice, Pinkberry, Sky Zone and more. At The NOW, Glenn is responsible for the operations and growth of The NOW franchise, including developing and managing the operating team, creating scalable operating infrastructure and improving the financial success of the franchise network. Over the past 18 years, Glenn has helped major franchises successfully scale on a global level.

Jennifer Murphy

LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT

With over 12 years of franchising experience, Jennifer Murphy leads all aspects of learning and development, sales training and more for The NOW. Having worked with brands like Cold Stone Creamery, Sky Zone and Massage Envy, Jennifer has developed and led global training programs in the U.S., China, Kuwait, Mexico, Colombia, and more. In her various roles, she has been recognized by her peers as a top performer. Jennifer received her degree in education and considers herself a life-long learner. She looks forward to continuing to develop her career in franchising with The NOW.

Michelle Sandonato

STRATEGY

Michelle Sandonato is the Vice President of Strategy at The NOW. She has over 18 years of franchise experience working with international brands like Cold Stone Creamery, Sky Zone and Massage Envy. Her career highlights include growing the Massage Envy brand from 100 to 1000 locations and launching a network-wide membership program at Sky Zone. At The NOW, Michelle leads all aspects of guest research, using insights to help drive the strategic direction of the company.

Kendra Spencer

As a seasoned franchise marketing executive and Army Veteran with nearly 20 years of industry experience, Kendra Spencer leads the strategy, development and execution of franchise marketing initiatives for The NOW. Her past experience spans multiple industries, working with notable brands like TITLE Boxing Club, Sky Zone, Massage Envy and more. Kendra has successfully led national media campaigns, company rebrands and consumer programs that drive results for franchise owners.
